Food & Drinks

We are still exploring the Peoria area, but have generally had good experiences or heard good things about the following restaurants:

  • ($$$) Saffron Social - Upscale American eatery with pleasant ambiance and excellent food. Terrin recommends the steak. Colin recommends the Smash Burger and the Classic Caesar Salad.

  • ($$$) Ardor Breads & Provisions - Bakery and upscale restaurant. Baked goods are generally available immediately, but dinner and cocktails typically require reservations. The food is excellent, but the menu alternates seasonally based on the chef’s selections.

  • ($$) Industry Brewing Co. - Classic brewpub with an excellent dog- and child-friendly patio space, horseshoes, axe throwing, music, and firepits. One of our favorites!

  • ($$) Cyd’s in the Park - American restaurant overlooking Donovan Park with generous patio seating and picnic options.

  • ($) Khaki Jack’s - Australian-Themed restaurant and bar. Sells the best comfort foods in Peoria!

  • ($) Indian Tadka - Indian restaurant with fantastic food and a relaxed environment.

  • ($) 50’s Diner - A family-owned Peoria institution and classic diner.

Hotels & Lodging

For our long-distance guests who are unfamiliar with the Peoria area, below is some information to help you navigate the area. Our nearest cross-streets at home are University and Glen, just West of Donovan Park. Our venue is in downtown Peoria, right on the river near Highway 74 and the Peoria Riverwalk. While the downtown area is relatively relaxed, the area near Bradley University (i.e., West of the Venue and South of Highway 74) can be chaotic. Peoria Heights (North of the Venue) is generally nice, and while there are few (if any) hotels, there are great options available on Airbnb, VRBO, and similar.
